Admission Scheme for Master's Course

Admission for GPSS (Ordinary Examination Schedule B) is available once a year, opening in November for both October and April enrollments. (Application in November, 2024 → Enrollment in April or October, 2025)

The admission process entails a document review and oral examination; there is no written examination. All entrance examinations are conducted in English.

Applicants are required to submit short essays and a research plan in English as part of their application documents and should prepare them thoroughly. Additionally, GPSS mandates the submission of TOEFL or IELTS score reports, so it is advisable to take these tests well in advance.

Important: Please note that applicants residing overseas and who do not hold Japanese residency status at the time of application, cannot enroll in April due to time constraints associated with immigration procedures. Enrollment would be in October.

Special admission schemes are available for those eligible for the Asian Development Bank - Japan Scholarship Program (ADB-JSP) and the Monbukagakusho (MEXT) Scholarship (Embassy Recommendation).
